Limited Time Offer for Etsy Sellers…

“Who Else Wants Their Blog Installed and Crafted Into An Etsy Sales Machine – All For Free?”

Dear Fellow Etsyian,

If you’re intrigued by the offer in the headline, I will get to it in 1 minute.

Keep reading because you’ll not only learn a little something, but I’m also going to clear the waters and dispel some of the rumors that I’ve been hearing on the forums.

Let me answer the first question you might have…

Does Blogging Actually Bring More Sales?

87% of Etsy Sellers Have “Free” Blogs Which Are Actually Costing Them Money

You might already have one of these blogs, or you’ve no doubt seen them in the forums: shopname.blogger.com or something similar.

These are free blog hosts which allow you to host your blog for “free” – and are good solutions for people who just want to blog about their lives. HOWEVER, these blogs actually COST you when you’re trying to run a profitable shop.

  • Having your own .com hosted blog will bring more traffic than free blogs do. I will explain why a little later.
  • You have more features with your own hosted .com. Free blog hosts like blogger are very limiting in what you can do (plugins) and what your blog can look like (themes).
  • There’s little-no customer support with free blog hosts. If you have a problem, you’re on your own!
  • Little protection from hackers or other malicious elements, unfortunately all too common on the web. If your free blog gets hacked or somehow is infected with a virus and you don’t have a backup, ALL YOUR WORK IS GONE FORVER. My trusty web host has saved me 3 times in the last 4 years, thank goodness!
  • Having your own .com is easier for your customers to remember. What feels easiest to remember: MySoapShop.com or mysoapshop.blogger.com ?
  • aseakeabwurl

  • You can your professional .com on your packaging graphics near your logo, similiar to what’s been done in the black and white photo on the right.

“But I Heard Blogger is Owned By Google So They Will Rank High in Google Searches?”

This is a common rumor, and it seems entirely logical… But unfortunately, it isn’t true. The hard truth is “free” hosted blogs (blogger and blogspot for example) actually rank lower in searches.

Why is this?

Having your own domain name and hosting tells Google that you’re serious about your web property and for this you’ll rank higher in search engines. This little fact can be proven in some of the ranking patents that Google has applied for.

Another reason free hosted blogs rank lower is because they don’t gain “web trust” very quickly because they are havens for spammers. Sometimes spammers will set up free blogs to spam pharmacy or some other undesirable links. So naturally, free blogs will have a tough time gaining trust from Google and other search engines.

“But I Don’t Have Enough Time to Blog!”

I can understand where you’re coming from when you say that, because you have probably been hearing how much hard work it is to blog, and how a lot of Etsy sellers say you need to blog everyday if you want to see success. This simply isn’t true!

My own personal rule is that I only blog when I have something to say. This keeps my posts interesting, instead of them being cluttered with “Im-posting-just-to-post-1-a-day” posts.

Quality over quantity – it works everytime!

Myself, I blog 1-2 hours a week usually on the weekends when I have a little free time.

Do you have 1 hour a week to spare if it meant more Etsy sales? I thought so!

“Get to the Free Offer Already, Andrew!”

Ok, ok enough about how great blogs are and how much of a waste it is to be using free blog hosts.

I want to talk about the limited time free offer I’m giving away ONLY to Etsy sellers.

I’m not sure how long this is going to last, so if you’re reading this and you’re on the line about whether you want to get your own blog or not… well I wouldn’t wait until later when you’ll have to pay someone $50-$100 to set up your blog for you.

I’m doing this for you FREE for a limited time.

My only requirements are…

  • It must be for your Etsy shop or Etsy related. I just want to give back to the Etsy community, so this isn’t for everyone, sorry.
  • Limited to one blog per customer.
  • You should be ready to sign-up with your own hosting account and .com domain name.I will give you details below so you can sign-up using the link I give you. Please use this link when you sign-up so I can get credit for it, no payment from you to me required, ever! My installation and customization is completely free for you.

Complete These 2 Steps and I Will Install Your New Blog and Turn It Into an Etsy Sales Generating Machine

Step 1. Get Your Account Details

First thing you’ll need to do is sign-up with Host Gator hosting. A “host” is the place where all your blog’s files will be stored 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

I recommend Host Gator because they support the Etsy and all the special plugins (twitter, facebook, SEO, etc..) which we will be using for your blog. This host is also really cheap, fast, and has great support. I’ve been using them for 4 years with no complaints.

When you sign up please use this link and be sure to use discount code “wordpress” so you can get a cheaper price.

If you don’t have a .com domain name for your shop then go ahead and register it with Host Gator during the sign-up process. It will automatically attach your domain name to your hosting so you don’t have to hassle with it.

Step 2. The Fun Part – Tell Me What You Want!
